These documents will be registered in the CSDD database and you will not need to take a First Aid course or present a certificate before state exams. Please note that this option only exists in the CSDD for drivers of motor vehicles and watercraft. In all other areas, the First Aid course must be taken.

You need to find out whether the certificate of completion of the first aid course is valid abroad at the embassy of the country you are going to. Each country has its own regulations and legislation, and they often differ from those of Latvia.

In Latvia, only certified teachers and institutions that have received the right to do so from the Emergency Medical Service (NMPD) have the right to conduct the First Aid course. According to Latvian law, the certificate of successful completion of the PMP course is issued in Latvian and it is not a fact that it will be accepted in the country you are going to.

If I am a citizen of another country, can I take the First Aid course?

If you have received a temporary or permanent residence permit in Latvia and you have been assigned a Latvian personal code, then you can join the First Aid courses in Latvia and receive a certificate after successfully completing the course.
