First aid courses and medical commission are not the same thing. In first aid courses, the tutor teaches how to provide first medical aid to victims of various accidents (road accidents, animal bites, electrical injuries, etc.).
A medical commission is a health check that confirms that you can drive a vehicle.
You can choose the language of study. Courses are conducted in Latvian, Russian and English (upon request).
At the end of the course you take a test. It consists of 20 questions and no more than 2 mistakes are allowed. If you don't pass the test, you will have the opportunity to retake it. To do this, contact us. It is important to note that retaking costs 15 EUR. The certificate of completion of the course will be active only after successfully passing the test.
You can take the test in the language in which you completed the course. If necessary, you will be able to choose the language.
Duration: 2 lessons.
1st lesson - theoretical, remote via an online platform (Google Meet). Duration: 6 hours.
2nd lesson, practical, takes place in the classroom. Duration: 5 hours.
First Aid course is required in many areas and professions.
There are three types of certificates. Yellow, red and blue.
YELLOW certificate is intended for: employees of the education sector, airport employees, railway employees and various enterprises. The duration of such a course is 12 academic hours of theory without practice and without credit. Valid for 5 years.
RED certificate is intended for: drivers of motor vehicles, tractor equipment, water transport, weapons carriers, security guards, drivers transporting explosives. The duration of such a course is 15 academic hours with practice and credit. Valid for 5 years.
BLUE certificate is intended for sailors. The duration of such a course is 40 academic hours with practice and credit. Valid for 5 years.
If you have a medical education or you are a medical student, you do not need to take a First Aid course. It is enough to present your diploma or an extract from the dean's office that you took a First Aid course during your studies. These documents will be registered in the CSDD database and you will not need to take a First Aid course or present a certificate before state exams. Please note that this option only exists in the CSDD for drivers of motor vehicles and watercraft. In all other areas, the First Aid course must be taken.
If you cannot attend both classes in one group, we will provide the opportunity to attend the theory class in one group and the practical class in another group. Please note that there is an additional fee for this. You will receive a certificate after completing the second class and successfully passing the test (if necessary).
You will need to contact us and sign up for a practical lesson with another group. Please note that there is an additional fee for this.
If you damaged or lost your certificate, don't worry. Contact us and we will issue a duplicate. The cost of a duplicate is 15 EUR. You need to come to our office by prior arrangement. Bring your passport or ID card with you.
To join the first (remote) lesson of the course, you need: a tablet or mobile phone, or a computer, or a laptop with a stable internet connection, a microphone and a video camera.
To participate in the second (practical) lesson, which takes place in the classroom, you need to have a notebook, pen and an identity document (passport or ID card). All other necessary things will be given to you by the teacher during the lesson.
You need to find out whether the certificate of completion of the first aid course is valid abroad at the embassy of the country you are going to. Each country has its own regulations and legislation, and they often differ from those of Latvia.
In Latvia, only certified teachers and institutions that have received the right to do so from the Emergency Medical Service (NMPD) have the right to conduct the First Aid course. According to Latvian law, the certificate of successful completion of the PMP course is issued in Latvian and it is not a fact that it will be accepted in the country you are going to.
If you have received a temporary or permanent residence permit in Latvia and you have been assigned a Latvian personal code, then you can join the First Aid courses in Latvia and receive a certificate after successfully completing the course.
If you have any questions, please write to us and we will contact you as soon as possible.
